Biography

Shankargouda Bharamanaikar is the Professor and Director of Belgaum Institute of Management Studies affiliated with Karnatak University. He holds a doctorate degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in the area of organizational behavior. His doctoral thesis was entitled "Impact of emotional intelligence on leadership effectiveness, success and job satisfaction."

Dr. Bharamanaikar is a postgraduate in business administration and teaches human resource management, organizational behavior, research methodology, and human behavior systems at the postgraduate level. He has lectured extensively on the role of emotional intelligence and leadership in the workplace. He has conducted a number of seminars and workshops on EI and leadership in various organizations.

He is a member of the National Academy of Psychology, India and a graduate from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Dr. Bharamanaikar has over twenty-five years of executive experience. His areas of interest are training and development of emotional intelligence competencies, emotional intelligence and leadership effectiveness and job satisfaction.
