BiographyBobbie Ann Adair White, often referred to as BA, is a distinguished teaching associate professor, coach, and consultant specializing in emotional intelligence, leadership, and conflict management within health professions education. She earned a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, a Master of Arts in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Dr. Adair White has made significant contributions to the field through her teaching, research, and publications. Her teaching enhances communication, leadership, and conflict management skills among healthcare professionals. Through her Leading with Emotional Intelligence in Interprofessional Teams course and guest lectures, she emphasizes the importance of emotional intelligence in leadership and teams, aiming to foster environments where empathy, effective communication, and relationship management are prioritized. One of her notable works includes the book "Leading Self and Others with Emotional Intelligence," which explores the historical trajectory of leadership theory and advocates for emotionally intelligent leadership. Additionally, she co-authored "Cultivating Leadership in Medicine" with Joann Farrell Quinn, which includes chapters on emotional intelligence, self-awareness, empathy, social awareness, and conflict management.
